Our Past Programs & Track Record

Overview

We host a major event annually where we celebrate the Nigerian stories, despite the challenges facing both the government and the youths, where we train, equip and empower young people with bankable ideas and innovations, after which we give seed funding in form of grants to successful participants to execute their ideas. We also provide mentoring to support them in order to be able to effectively operate in the Nigerian intrapreneurial and entrepreneurial landscape.

Since inception, in 2014, the WIAA initiative has been able to reach out to over 2,000 secondary school students, 1,500 tertiary institution students and 2,500 graduates and youths. More than 60% have chosen a professional career path to help solve problems in Nigeria and the world at large, while about 35% have started their own innovative businesses with the token seed fund we were able to support them with.

More than 37% of them that were already losing hope and resorted to crime are now mentors and ambassadors in the society today. We are also proud to say that at WIAAI, we prioritize gender equality.
